Bolt Oil Filter Cover 48mm, XT500 '79>, SR500 '79>

IMPORTANT NOTE: 

Oil filter lid/bolt length item K27866 / K28404:

The correct length of the lower oil filter cover bolt should not be fixed to the year of manufacture, therefore the length should be determined by measuring if necessary.

The 40mm bolt K27866 is required if the distance between the sealing surface of the cover and the drain hole located centrally in the bottom of the filter housing is 24mm. This is the case with all SR500 and XT500 before 1980, which have a snap ring in the clutch cover in front of the oil seal for the right crankshaft stub.

If the distance is 34mm, bolt K28404 with 48mm is required (all SR/XT500 from model year '81 without additional locking ring in front of the oil seal for the right crankshaft stub in the clutch cover).

Note: The bolts MUST NOT be installed indiscriminately. The longer pin does not seal the cover, this can be seen immediately.
The shorter bolt holds in the thread but does not close the drain hole, so the oil filter is bypassed and no oil pressure is built up! An engine failure is the result! --> Please Check carefully
