The "XSTART" contains a 1kW starter with alternator cover, adapter for the original pole wheel, freewheel, drive chain and starter relay, all the necessary accessories and detailed, illustrated instructions for quick and easy assembly.
A lithium battery pack (LiFePo4) replaces the existing vehicle battery. In order to ensure the maximum service life of the battery pack, we recommend the simultaneous use of a modern rectifier/charger regulator (Art. 41508) with precise voltage regulation. The original SR500 regulator measures the battery voltage across the ignition switch, therefore the battery charging voltage may be above the optimum value.
The starting current of the starter is 300A, with a peak current of 600A the 4S lithium battery has sufficient reserves. The temperature range from -20°C to +60°C is absolutely practical.
Of course, we include a new alternator cover seal with every kit. To mount the flywheel adapter, we recommend our counter-holder item no. 20114. The pole wheel must not be dismantled.

Is it necessary to pay attention to the TDC sight glass to start the motorcycle?
No, when using the starter the position of the piston/camshaft is irrelevant.
When installing the XSTART kit, does the ignition need to be reset?
No, the installation of the kit does not require any adjustment of the ignition, the pole wheel is not dismantled.
